In the Planteraction project, we developed Plantera, a smart plant pot designed to reduce urban loneliness by fostering social connection. Our research highlighted key loneliness triggers, leading us to create a scalable, affordable product through a lean startup model and local manufacturing. Market insights showed people struggle to connect, so Plantera bridges this gap by connecting users through AI-driven plant interactions, creating a more lively, connected environment.
