P1 Gr(own) (Group project)

Project Info:

With gr(own), we've explored how to localise food production, to lower the carbon footprint of food production, by lowering required transport. In this project, I've mostly worked on the technical feasability (proof of concept with at home aeroponics, utilising 3D printed prototypes) and the design of the final modular at home growing system. With this final design, we've created a solution that is made locally by utilising 3D printing. For the prototype, as the scale of the model would be an issue, we've opted to create it mostly out of MDF, acrlyc and 3D printed parts for the more complex geometry. Utilising an epoxy finish for a waterproof prototype.
